This personal project used a plugin called Guruware’s gw::Ivy tool to create the vines and distribute the foliage. Herman Saksono’s Advanced Painter tool was also used to help scatter some of the objects, including the rocks and grass.
The bark texture was sculpted on a hi-res tree model in Mudbox then exported as a Normal map and applied to a low-res tree model in 3ds Max. The full scene was rendered using Vray. The clouds were created in 3ds Max using Volume Fog and rendered with Mental Ray. Post-work was done in Combustion and Photoshop.
