This model was a first attempt at rendering with Vray. After lots of tweaking and experimenting with the settings, a realistic render was finally achieved.

The skin texture was sculpted in Mudbox and exported as a Normal map. The map was then applied to the model in 3ds Max. The hair was created using the Hair and Fur modifier in 3ds Max.
